Rachel's Fairy Houses

I love collecting miniature items for my in door fairy dollhouse it is a (Glencroft by Greenleaf) I have purchased many items on Etsy, such as; wands, mini charts and maps, acorn caps, acorn tea set, mini fruits and veggies, mini books, candles, bead lamps,  from many wonderful crafter/creators/artist .... Its a slow enjoyable process. And I enjoy the quality of time finding the right pieces for my fairy's needs. I am using dollhouse furniture and then distressing the pieces, and adding moss, twigs, and any other natural elements I happen to stumble upon. I am also creating a large outdoor "mini garden" 8 x 10 with using miniature wire patio furniture, terra cotta pots, urns, little fences, and whimsy mini things I find. As well as finding all the mini "live" plants to plant around to bring the mini scale to life. I love these two little hobbies so much, it gives me peace, and takes my mind and heart to the most relaxing place... I also enjoy scrapbooking, Floral wreath making. I enjoy taking many, many pictures of my beautiful 2 1/2 year old daughter (Alyssa) which is my real true "flower fairy doll" I am married, since 1985 (yep 24 years) OMG! I live in California (San Jose, then Gilroy, then by the Great Northern Redwoods, but currently we are in Sacramento general area) I miss the Redwoods a lot!!! I am currently a stay at home Mom and loving it, but these terrible 2's which I call" pre mini pms moods"  are very challenging...but were getting through it. 

I too, as Rachel did, get inspired from the Movie "Fairytale" a true story. It got me out in the yard looking for things to try to do my own fairy house, then I thought to God, why can't I have a little girl to do this with (trying to have child for 18 years) within weeks after that, I kid you not.... a call came over the phone (more story of that), but short version.... We got to adopt our little fairy.... My prayer was answered.... hum... believe in Fairies... oh yeah, I think so.... they even gave us one!  And her room is full of fairy theme, cicely mary barker flower fairies... her ceiling must have over 50 flying (hanging fairies) Most of the family teases me and says..... what if she does not like fairies... I said what... she is a fairy... how would that ever be!  heehee!
